STRAWL & FRIENDS: Strawl, Rapha Pico, Mr Carty + DJ Pleasure, Musical Bullets Sound vs Rudeboy Ciano

Op vrijdag 6 november staat Den Bosch opnieuw in het teken van reggae tijdens Strawl & Friends. Strawl deelt het podium met Rapha Pico en Mr Carty voor een avond waarin roots reggae, dub en dancehall samenkomen.

Strawl brengt krachtige roots reggae met een boodschap. Met zijn karakteristieke stem, militante lyrics en jarenlange podiumervaring staat hij voor reggae waarin roots, cultuur en consciousness centraal staan. In zijn teksten, geïnspireerd door Rastafari en de dagelijkse realiteit, spreekt hij zich uit tegen onrecht.

Rapha Pico – The Noble Chanter brengt zijn internationale roots- en dubsound naar Den Bosch. Zijn muziek wordt gedraaid door soundsystem-legendes als Aba Shant-I, Channel One en Iration Steppas en hij stond op podia in Europa, Afrika en Centraal-Amerika.

Mr Carty, geboren op Sint-Eustatius en tegenwoordig gevestigd in Nederland, combineert reggae en klassieke dancehall met zijn eigen island sound. Met zijn herkenbare stem verwerkt hij zijn roots, persoonlijke ervaringen en levensvisie in muziek met een geheel eigen karakter.

Samen worden de live acts ondersteund door DJ Pleasure, die met zijn Caribbean roots en een uitgesproken reggae sound achter de decks een herkenbare stempel op de shows drukt.

En de avond stopt daar niet. Musical Bullets Sound vs Rudeboy Ciano gaan de muzikale strijd met elkaar aan en nemen je mee van warme, diepe roots reggae tot rauwe dub en energieke dancehall.

On Friday, November 6, Den Bosch will once again be all about reggae during Strawl & Friends. Strawl shares the stage with Rapha Pico and Mr Carty for a night where roots reggae, dub and dancehall come together.

Strawl delivers powerful roots reggae with a message. With his distinctive voice, militant lyrics and years of live experience, he represents reggae rooted in culture and consciousness. Inspired by Rastafari and everyday reality, his lyrics speak out against injustice.

Rapha Pico – The Noble Chanter brings his international roots and dub sound to Den Bosch. His music is played by sound system legends such as Aba Shant-I, Channel One and Iration Steppas, and he has performed on stages across Europe, Africa and Central America.

Mr Carty, born on St. Eustatius and now based in the Netherlands, combines reggae and classic dancehall with his own island sound. With his distinctive voice, he brings his roots, personal experiences and outlook on life into music with a character all its own.

The live acts are supported by DJ Pleasure, whose Caribbean roots and distinctive reggae sound behind the decks leave a recognizable mark on the shows.

And the night doesn’t stop there. Musical Bullets Sound vs Rudeboy Ciano go head-to-head musically, taking you from warm, deep roots reggae to raw dub and energetic dancehall.
